This is a non-profit horse rescue created to save horses from abuse, neglect, slaughter, and unforeseen consequences equine owners may face in caring for their livestock.
From starting a young colt when I was 10 years old, until 2021 after reading an article about the slaughter of 30,000+ equines every year, compassion is what drives me to bring people together who can make a difference in saving these beautiful animals.
Horses That Need Homes
Many horses are no longer wanted by their owners, or they can no longer afford their upkeep. Our goal is to make sure the horses are healthy, cared for and safe from harm. Those which have been abused or neglected, will need people to calm their disposition and show them that they are loved and needed, and can trust humans again.
We hope to find all the horses that come into our care, a safe and secure home where their new owners will love them forever. For those who can not be placed, we will do our best to keep them retired in the pasture, until their days come to an end.
In order to save horses, we have several goals to meet. Location, we are seeking a facility in Middle Tennessee. This includes plenty of acreage and shelter for the horses. A barn with indoor stalls and shelters in the pasture for inclement weather.
Growing and cutting our own hay will help with the cost of feeding the horses year round, as well as control what type of hay is grown, what the hay is sprayed or fertilized with, when it is cut, and where it will be stored for the winter months.
The inside facility will need a safe and well lit area where the vet and/or farrier can examine a horse. There will be other stalls to keep horses separated until they are healthy enough to join the horses in one of the pasture areas, at our non-profit horse rescue.
our goal is
Enclosed barns
Pasture shelters
Grazing acres
Quarantine area
